The eclipse started with rather nice weather. A thin haze gave the moon a very nice golden colour.

But what is this? The moon looks more like Juptier, with stripes and belts. The explanation is of course thin clouds that formed.

Partially eclipsed moon seen through clouds a couple of minutes after greatest eclipse. 23:13:29 UT+2.
The clouds are growing thicker. The irregular structure of the clouds produce strange colours and spots.

Lens: Borg 101 ED refractor in primary focus.
Exposure: f6.3, 2s, 1600 ISO

The picture is taken at 23:42:05 UT+2, and shows a kind of halo produced by the clouds. Because of the irregular cloud cover, the halo is not circular.

Lens: Canon EF 50mm f1:1.4
Exposure: f4, 8s, 400 ISO
